The Creative Process – Research First, Design Later!
Leveljam excels in designing colorful, creative and youthful websites as well as business oriented websites with corporate and sober color schemes and themes. Our experienced team follows a customized and bespoke approach to ensure that our design best represents your industry and speaks aloud for your company’s business at the same time scoring high on usability and navigation. Right from the start, our designs are created keeping in mind your target audience and your business purpose/vision. All our website designs undergo DFSS (Design For Six Sigma) Methods. Born from Six Sigma Principles, DFSS is about ensuring that each newly designed solution:
1. Is Customer Focussed
2. Is Defect Free
3. Produces Major Returns on Investment
4. Changes How The World Perceives Your Website or Product
When applied rigorously, DFSS improves profit. As either a brand new project (Greenfield) or a redesign of an existing process or product, our DFSS methods improve the robustness and relevance of your website. First Voice of the Customer (VOC) techniques are applied to establish the project’s CTQ’s and then confirm the robustness of the design during the delivery phase of the project, whether the project focuses on tangible products or intangible services and processes.
In both cases, our team gathers customer insights through VOC techniques and then incorporate these CTQ’s into the new design prototypes. Most importantly when designing we believe the VOC is absolutely vital.
- Establish requirements early in the design process: data gathering about the website or application occurs at functional levels. CTQ’s are given out to the design team early in the process. So while our technology team is building technical capabilities into the product, they are also considering CTQ’s from the client’s marketing, sales or even the HR teams and any other department that should be involved in the new product.
- Providing more resources early on: plan on needing 15% to 25% additional resources beyond the baseline plan in order to optmize the early stage of the design process by effectively identifying CTQ’s, transferring requirements to the design, and coming up with robust yet innovative design concepts.
- Developing Product Platforms. We think beyond a project-by-project basis for your company’s web initiatives and develop product suites or platforms using the approach. Developing product platforms can provide strategic advantage for an organization in a variety of areas from branding through multiple distribution channels.
With the advent of Web 2.0 it has become imperative that your website is social-media friendly as well as search engine optimized. All our designs are compatible with all the browsers and are perfectly validated with W3C. All our designers are proficient in Photoshop, Flash, HTML, CSS, XHTML and Web 2.0 standards.
